FILMSS II

The Fully Integrated Lifecycle Mission Support Services II (FILMSS II) enhances exploration and operation capacities through project management and research support services at NASA’s AMES Research Center. SURA has partnered with Amentum Services as a subcontractor for FILMSS II to provide senior-level expertise to the center’s research efforts, which span planetary science, astrophysics, space biosciences, astrobiology, heliophysics, and earth science initiatives.

Based at NASA’s Ames Research Center in California, FILMSS II provides programmatic, scientific, and operations support to the most pressing challenges for manned spaceflight. These projects span bioscience mission implementation, advanced technology and instrument development, and small satellite missions with an emphasis on cross-cutting collaborative science.

Through FILMSS II, SURA delivers advanced scientific and technical expertise to high-impact, missions-oriented projects. SURA leverages our network of universities to connect senior researchers with opportunities to tackle key challenges in space exploration and advance the leading edge of aeronautics research at Ames.
