Residence Facility Common Areas and Other SURA Property
The SURA Residence Facility Great Room and other common areas are intended for the use of registered Residence Facility guests. Other uses are permitted under these guidelines as long as guests are minimally inconvenienced. These guidelines apply also to other SURA land, road, and property use.
- A registered Residence Facility guest may invite up to three non-registered-guests to use the common areas for personal entertainment purposes. Groups of more than four individuals will be considered a ‘special event' and require the rental of the common area.
- Alcoholic beverage consumption with dinner is permitted in the common areas for registered guests and their invited non-registered-guests, age 21 and over. No alcoholic beverage consumption is permitted in the common areas after 9:00pm, except as part of a special event.
- All individuals on SURA property must carry identification with them and produce this identification when requested by a SURA official or agent (security).
SURA reserves the right to restrict the use of its property as it deems necessary for the safety, security, and common enjoyment of registered and invited guests.
Rental for Special Events
- SURA facilities and property may be reserved for official Jefferson Lab functions only, unless waived by SURA.
- Rental of SURA facilities and property will be at the sole discretion of SURA.
- Great Room availability for rental will be determined by the occupancy of the guest rooms and the use of the Great Room for its registered guests.
- SURA property is available for rental Monday – Friday (except holidays) 8:00am – 4:00pm.
- Additional hourly charges will apply to events held at other times.
Rental fee schedule (Great Room, parking lot, field, other SURA property)
Clean-up is included in rental fee. Note: Outsourced clean-up costs (for rental of extra/special trash containers, removal of excess trash, restoration of area, etc.) will be charged to the event host.
